SP-As1/As2 is a roller type specimen rotating machine to be attached to the polishing machine IM-P2 The SP-As1/As2 can be equipped on to the IM-P2 to allow for automatic polishing of non-mounted specimens. Ideal for specimens that call for lengthy, low-speed lapping. Custom-made holders designed for a specific specimen are also available.

Main Specifications

  • Built-in oscillation function!
    The SP-As1 comes with an oscillation function built to the arm, allowing for improved surface roughness with suppressed grinding resistance and reduced edge undercutting.
    Moreover, liberal use of a polishing cloth helps prevent buildup of the polish material for uniform polishing of the entire specimen surface.
    With the ability to polish with light pressure, the oscillation function can also help increase the service life of the polishing cloth.

  • Automatically polish non-mounted specimens!
    Ideal for specimens that call for lengthy, low-speed lapping, the SP-As1/As2 can be equipped on to the IM-P2 to allow for automatic polishing of non-mounted specimens.
